Should I Buy or Rent?

One business rule some firms prefer is you should own what appreciates and rent what depreciates. If you rent the machine it is a tax deductible operating expense each month verses asset you purchase and then depreciate each year.
Often operating expense decisions can be made at a management level verses capital expenditure which might need board approval. Often businesses feel they get a better return investing capital in the business and paying running costs out monthly as the business earns the money to pay for it.

On a different tack automatic espresso machines in a busy office do breakdown and ultimately wear out and need replacing. When renting these issues are not your concern, if the machine you have wears out or becomes problematic and you use our coffee, we can simply replace it for you.
